Event Description:

This workshop will demonstrate the important link between the various layers of program administration and NRS data reporting.

The morning session will focus on informing adult education administrators, managers and data staff involved with NRS data collection and reporting about the National Reporting System (NRS). It will include information about the history and importance of the NRS and its impact on funding, the NRS data flow and program responsibilities, the most recent federal and state policies, the development of Education and Employment Plans, and outcome measures.

The afternoon session will focus on the use of the many reports that are available in ASISTS; which reports can give you the most information; and how best to use them in managing your program. This session will also include a review of different approaches to sharing data with program staff; highlight the way that data can inform instruction and increase learner outcomes; and ways to effectively manage volumes of data in ASISTS.
