Program Managers’ Training: ADA Learning Disabilities Awareness
Presenter: James Matt, Director CST RAEN
Networking Lunch Provided
Many of our program managers have reached out to us indicating they would like to return to our pre-pandemic practice of providing a morning or afternoon training opposite the AEPP Program Manager Remote Meeting. The AEPP meeting is remote and will remain remote. That will mean that in the afternoon of July 18th, CST RAEN will host an in-person training (description below) that would be of interest to our program managers and related staff . That session will run from 12 pm until 3 pm and those attending in person will receive 3 hours of RAEN Professional Development credit. We will air the AEPP Remote Program Manager Meeting as a group from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm.
This workshop is designed to build awareness of the history and purpose of the ADA, and connect this knowledge to our work. We’ll highlight key details about the ADA and provide a general introduction to the passing of the ADA Amendments Act. Also, we’ll address Non-Obvious Disabilities, and protection under the ADA. Participants will build their knowledge about the ADA, and be connected with additional valuable resources, leading to positive and inclusive teaching environments.
Please note these special requirements:
To receive 3 HRS RAEN PD CREDIT, you MUST ATTEND the IN-PERSON Afternoon Training portion (12 pm until 3 pm). You may attend the remote AEPP Program Manager meeting with us or on your own. Regardless of whether you attend with us or on your own, there will be no RAEN PD Credit for the remote AEPP Program Managers’ Meeting.
Each program MUST be represented at the VIRTUAL AEPP Program Managers’ Meeting, even if you attend the afternoon training (from 12 pm until 3 pm), so if you are unable to attend, please identify a designee. Regardless of whether you attend with us or on your own, there will be no RAEN PD Credit for the virtual AEPP Program Managers’ Meeting.
